Our PROGRAMS
Alianza Institute
The Alianza Institute aims to create leaders in our community by training and developing them with short and successful programs around different topics such as:
- Speech
- Leadership
- Data, Technology, and Analytics
- Learning their history for future success
- Mindful sustainability in economics, the environment, health, and culture
History and Culture
Our Educational Forums are open to all members of the community and touch on a variety of important information in a fun, open, and friendly atmosphere to harvest learning and engagement. Some of the Forums include:
- Town Halls in Miami, Orlando, Kissimmee, Tampa, and other cities with former State Legislators and current local elected officials
- “Encuentros” between the Puerto Rican Diaspora and Island Organizations, groups, and activists on different topics such as the debt crisis, education, climate change, revitalization of communities, etc.
- Participating in Puerto Rico Day in Tallahassee
Trainings
Alianza Center, along with strategic partners such as BoricuaActivatEd, Hispanic Federation, and State Voice, imparts various trainings throughout the year to equip the community with valuable tools and information on different and important subjects like:
- Data Management
- Grassroots Advocacy
- Running for office
- Understanding and knowing your Local, State, and Federal Government
- Building Spaces for Puerto Rican, Latinos & Allies

Alianza Center houses our environment and climate awareness work. This work is varied and impacts both Florida and Puerto Rico. Some of the Alianza Ambiente initiatives are:
- “Encuentro Ambiente”
- “Promotores Verdes”
- Summer Day Camps: “Veranos Verdes”
- Advocacy, Environmental Justice & Education

After School Program and Family Learning Center
Our After School program will impart cultural, educational, and environmental leadership programs and homework support. Our facility will serve as a one-stop service and empowerment center for single parents that will include child care, GED prep, better parenting classes, literacy, career guidance, activism and leadership development programs. We will also have programing around voter registration, education & civic engagement.
