Free summer leadership experience for youth: Preparing our Latino youth for success in Orlando & Kissimmee
Summer, Cameras, Action! Alianza’s summer leadership experience for youth. Our flagship program empowers students to cultivate skills of civic engagement, resilience, healthy living, while developing their capacity to express themselves effectively. Using practices in sustainability, leadership, creative expression in art, music, dance, and other forms of communication, teachers will work collaboratively with students. They will also facilitate skill development, creativity, project planning and execution of individual and collective projects. By the end of the camp, students will showcase their newfound abilities, works of art and insights in final presentations that demonstrate their capacity to address societal challenges, adapt to adversity, advocate for sustainable practices, and inspire others through inspiring and diverse forms of expression.

Nutritious meals for a healthy summer
Having homemade Latino lunches made by Chef Joemar is about more than just food – it helps students feel at home and connected to their culture. The need is clear: out of 47 million Americans who don’t have enough food, 14 million are Hispanic or Latino. Many Latino families struggle to get food due to language barriers, high costs, and lack of transportation. For young Latino students who may feel far from their family traditions, eating familiar foods from their culture can help them feel more comfortable and proud of who they are. This is especially important for second-generation students, who often feel stress from being away from family and having less money to buy traditional foods. By having a Latino chef who knows these traditional recipes and understands their importance, our summer camp shows students that we value their culture. This creates a warm and welcoming place where students can learn better while enjoying meals that remind them of home.
Let us nourish both the minds and bodies of your child this summer!
