Diana Joaquín was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. In 2015, she moved to the United States with many dreams and the hope of growing up in this country. In 2017, she had the opportunity to work and learn more about the needs of her community and was inspired to attend college and learn more about communications and the issues that affect her community. She is a UCF student majoring in Human Communications. Since 2018, she has been working in local, state, and national political campaigns focused on educating the Latino community on the importance of voting. Her work with elected officials allowed her to better understand and engage with her community. She serves Alianza as the communications coordinator.
