Rev. Jose Rodriguez, based in Central Florida, leads the Episcopal Churches of Christ the King and Jesus de Nazaret in Azalea Park. His ministry, marked by a profound commitment to community service, has been especially focused on disaster relief and recovery over the past five years. His efforts intensified following Hurricane Irma, equipping him to support those affected by Hurricane Maria. Under his guidance, the church has actively addressed the needs of new neighbors displaced by Maria.
Padre José's impactful work earned him the title of 2019 Change Maker of the Year by the Heart of Florida United Way. In 2020, he was recognized as a Distinguished Leader in Florida on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. Engaged in various academic collaborations with the University of Florida, the University of Texas at Austin, Boston College, and the University of Miami, Padre José is also a graduate of Rollins College, the University of Central Florida, and Asbury Theological Seminary.
