Alianza Center began in 2018 in response to families displaced to Central Florida after Hurricane Maria. We saw neighbors facing uncertainty and isolation, and we chose to build connection, voice, and belonging.
From those first days, our purpose has been simple and steady: turn moments of need into a durable movement of unity.
How we work to build lasting community strength
We develop leaders who participate confidently, from school boards to state capitols, so public decisions include our community's wisdom.
We equip youth and families through education, research, and leadership development, building skills that strengthen neighborhoods for the long term.
We organize around environmental health and resilience so families can live, learn, and work in safe communities.
We create gatherings where stories are shared, identities are honored, and belonging grows.
Every data point represents neighbors connected, institutions moved, and communities that stand stronger together.
Supported leaders at multiple levels of government (Emily Bonilla, Victor Torres, Robert Ascencio).
Renamed Stonewall Jackson Road to Roberto Clemente Avenue; ended coal ash dumping; secured millions in hurricane recovery funds.
Launched First Fridays (hundreds attending monthly), youth leadership programs, and signature galas raising $170,000+.
Built Central Florida's first large-scale Hispanic canvassing operation with 150+ organizers, reaching 45,000+ voters.
Distributed $250,000+ in emergency aid during COVID to families in crisis.
One trained leader influences 50+ families. One unifying event connects 500+ people. One policy change benefits thousands.
Your investment doesn't just fund activities, it strengthens the connective tissue of community.
In the next decade, your support will make it possible for Alianza Center to strengthen its foundation in Central Florida by expanding programs that reach over 10,000 families annually through civic leadership development, youth and family education, environmental resilience, and cultural celebration.
Together, we can scale this integrated model statewide, creating a replicable framework for Hispanic unity and community strength. Long term, your investment ensures a sustained pipeline of leaders across civic, educational, environmental, and cultural spheres, so that representation, opportunity, and progress endure for generations.
